Heroine Clothing |
| From skeletons and knights on horses, to more
defined graphic tees adorned with Adam and Eve, it is no wonder
avant-garde label, Heroine Clothing, is donned by punk-rock
band members. Apart from rockers, however, the New Jersey-based
label is one of the favorites amongst Candy Plum shoppers. From
(men's and women's) deep V-necks, to (women's) lighthouse-print
t-shirt dresses, Heroine Clothing takes the cake in trendy wear
at an affordable price. |

Nicole Rae Styer |
| There is nothing ubiquitous about Nicole Rae
Styer's clothing line. Without a doubt, each piece is extremely
unique. Styer pairs one-of-a-kind pieces from vintage fabrics
gathered over the years, with careful lace and button detailing
to create a mesh of modern design with old-school execution.
Strolling past Candy Plum, don't be surprised to find one of
Styer's creations in the window display. |

Qassa |
| It doesn't take much to grasp why we love Qassa
candles at Candy Plum. If Billie Holiday and David Bowie don't
set the mood for you, then surely lighting a Barack Obama-decked
candle will have to do. We also love Veronica Soto's light-spirited
(no pun intended) sense of humor with her Saint Brit Prayer
Candle, dedicated to Britney Spears. The candle features a photo
of a bald Spears with some rather funny quotes from the pop
star. All in all, these candles are a must-have! |

Stars For Sydell |
Stars For Sydell creates handmade jewelry
made from recycled sterling silver and reclaimed vintage pieces.
Featuring lightweight, delicate, dainty, and mostly one of
a kind necklaces and earrings, Sam designs with every day
wear in mind. 50% of all proceeds are donated to Fibromyalgia
research and awareness. |

Heidi Roland |
If there is one thing we love about the jewelry
collections we carry here at Candy Plum, is that many of them
are daring. Heidi Roland fits just that criteria with her
collection of ultra-light aluminum framed earrings. The photo
earrings in her collection are adorned with miniature pictures
of bright fish or the New York City skyline. Roland also styles
lobes with feathers and hand-painted, super-light leaf earrings--made
from real leaves. You can find her latest designs at Candy
Plum--round or rectangular aluminum framed, President-elect
Obama earrings! No matter what you choose, we guarantee you
will wear each style proudly. |

Every Little Counts |
| After six years working as a fashion designer
in New York and Los Angeles, Amy Snider has emerged with her
own label, Every Little Counts. The mission of the line is to
provide affordable and feminine garments for women that express
feelings of romance, independence, and nostalgia. Every Little
Counts is made exclusively in the east side of Los Angeles
as a collaboration between Amy and her husband Adam, who has
a background in art and graphic design. Together, they pool
their inspirations into a unique line of clothing created
for a certain kind of girl; complex and independent while
also flirtatious and romantic. This is a girl who daydreams,
fantasizes, and falls in love. The loose fit and low necklines
combined with esoteric and romantic graphics create a nonchalant
sex appeal. |

Divine dZigns |
| Rekha created the concept of the Divine dZigns
brand inspired by her love for art, abstract patterns and her
many travels. A concept, that appeals to all cultures, ethnicities
and ages. She integrates classic style with unique design elements
that have meaning and inspiration to create a bold fashion statement
and offer a one of a kind buying experience. Born and raised
in Ottawa, Canada, where her South Asian upbringing and her
mother’s love for sewing and handicrafts helped to form
the early stages of her creative spirit. As a teenager she
learned to sew and enjoyed making clothes for herself and
her friends. This was her first insight that she loved fashion
and wanted to be a designer.
Putting that dream aside temporarily, she graduated from
college with business degrees and went on to pursue various
corporate jobs and lived in such diverse cities as the San
Francisco Bay area, San Antonio, Atlanta and finally moved
to New York City in 2004. But all along, always carrying within
her a desire and a dream to design. She kept that dream alive,
by always pursuing different design and art classes knowing
that one day it would all come together. This included attending
Parsons School of Design in New York
Each city she lived in influenced her in a different way,
but it has been New York’s vibrant flare that helped
to fine tune her vision and develop her design aesthetic.
She launched Divine dZigns in 2007. She is now living her
dream! |
