About Candy Plum
If you thought that unique designer digs could only be sought
out within the confines of Manhattan's boutiques and shops, we
dare you to cross over into Astoria, Queens. Just on the corner
of 36th street and 31st avenue, Candy Plum has become a prized
boutique by those in the city and its' Burroughs for the last three
years.
With colorful walls, and a mix of retro and trendy decor, Candy
Plum is packed with irresistible jewelry and one-of-a-kind designer
clothing. LinDon Habes, Nicole Rae Styer and Luccia are a just
a few designers that share space at Candy Plum. The shop has more
than 25 designers that have designed and sold their lines of handbags,
clothing and most of all jewelry (along with a variation of accessories)
at the shop.
Since its' opening, Candy Plum owner Cynthia and her popular store
have been featured in the likes of the, NY Magazine, Ins and
Out Queens Chronicle, Time Out NY, and held multiple features
in the New York Times. The store has most notably been recognized
for its affordability, not very common with boutiques of its
magnitude. Last spring, the boutique, along with a couple of other
emerging boutiques, held a fashion show to celebrate the emerging
designers and the boutiques making Astoria a hot spot for shoppers
from all corners of the area.
Along with its affordability, Candy Plum is known to carry a multitude
of different styles, whether it be in the vintage, handmade, or
brand-new pieces. If you haven't already done so, stop by for one
of the many trunk sales, constant shipments of new designers threads
and accessories, or simply to say hi. We guarantee that after you
feast your eyes on one of the shop's shelves, you will most likely
spend hours browsing through all that Candy Plum has to offer.
